On September 19-20, the Sign Association of Canada (SAC-ACE) hosted in Mississauga, Ont., its annual Sign Expo Canada, a two-day event packed with workshops, panels, keynote presentations, and a trade show showcasing the latest innovations in the industry, from cutting-edge products to new technologies.
Sign Expo Canada spotlights industry excellence and innovation
The event kicked off with a compelling Strategic Planning Executive Panel, expertly moderated by Susan Svotelis, chair of the SAC-ACE task force. Industry leaders Jorg Cieslok (independent director, VENDO Media), Keith Edwards (CEO, Media Resources International), Steve Gallow (managing director and partner, Media Resources International), and Kevin Martens (director of operations-Quebec, Astral Media Outdoor) explored the dynamic evolution of out-of-home (OOH) media in Canada. They provided valuable insights into the transformation of signage from traditional paper formats to digital displays, emphasizing the growing significance of street furniture and the impact of digital technologies on the industry. They also emphasized that investing in OOH is how cities like Toronto can become smart cities, highlighting its role in the future of advertising.

The show was very exciting. We received fantastic feedback, and we saw a great vibe on the floor. There will be some changes next year that I believe everyone will appreciate. If this year was a success, I’m confident attendees will love what’s coming.
